My Story

Dr. Ryan Messina
Why I Became a Chiropractor?
Personal health journey (football injury, diabetes, nervous system insights).
My journey into chiropractic care started with my own health challenges. In 2007, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes—a diagnosis that had no genetic explanation. But my story began long before that, on the football field.

Core Philosophy
Natural healing, avoiding unnecessary medication, and long-term wellness.
In high school, I suffered a severe football injury—a concussion and a separated shoulder. I recovered, or so I thought. Years later, as I learned more about the human body, I realized the nerves from the thoracic spine send crucial signals to the pancreas. Could that injury have triggered my diagnosis? No one told me about the importance of spinal health back then, and I often wonder if my story would have been different if they had.

Experience & Background
This realization became my ‘Why.’ I became a chiropractor to save people from suffering like I did—without answers, without hope. I want to educate my patients about the body’s innate intelligence, its power to heal naturally, and help them achieve long-term wellness without unnecessary medications or surgeries.
Today, with over 10 years of experience, I help athletes, professionals, parents, and children live pain-free lives. And every patient I help reminds me of why I do what I do.
